A FAMILY’S SEARCH FOR A SIMPLER WAY

Like most people, we assumed someone else had already done the research. If it was on the shelf, surely it had to be fine. Then one day we did something we'd never done before. We turned the bottle around and started reading the ingredient list. The more we read, the more questions we had.

Some of the ingredient names stretched across half the label. Others were impossible to pronounce. We couldn't explain what they were, why they were there, or what purpose they served.

We found ourselves asking the same question over and over again: "What is this?"

And if we couldn't confidently answer that... How could we confidently put it on our own children?

So we started researching. We wanted to understand what these ingredients were, why they were used, and whether there was a simpler way to care for our skin.

The more we learned, the more convinced we became that there had to be a different way, and a different product—one built around ingredients we could recognize, understand, and feel confident using on our own family.

We Didn't Mean to Start a Company.

We're Joshua & Rebekah. Parents to five incredible daughters... with another little girl on the way!

We love camping, paddle-boarding, hiking, surfing, and chasing sunshine wherever we can find it. Some of our favourite memories have been made on beaches around the world, catching waves, exploring new places, and spending long days outside together.

But some of our best days are much closer to home—jumping into Okanagan lake, roasting marshmallows around a campfire, or watching our girls disappear on their bikes until the streetlights come on. Those are the moments we live for.

Like every parent, we wanted to protect our kids from the sun. That part was never in question. The question was whether we could feel just as good about what we were putting on their skin.

As we looked more closely at the products we were buying, we found ourselves asking the same question over and over again:

"Is there a better way?"

Not a product with a bigger marketing budget. Not another bottle promising to be newer or better. Just something made with ingredients we understood and felt good about using on the people we love most.

That simple question sent our family on a journey we never expected.

There Had to Be a Better Way

What began as curiosity soon became a passion. We spent evenings researching ingredients, talking to experts, studying traditional skincare, and carefully refining one batch after another.

With every batch, we learned something new. We packed it into backpacks, beach bags, camping bins, and carry-on luggage. We tested it on boats, at the lake, beside backyard pools, during a three-week sunshine adventure through Africa and Turkey, the intense heat of India, and on the beaches of the Okanagan Valley.

Eventually, we created something our own family reached for every time we packed for the beach, headed to the campsite, or spent a day at the lake.

Friends noticed. Then they asked if they could try it. Soon our neighbours wanted some too. Before long, complete strangers were asking where they could buy it.
